Pack My Lunch

Pack my lunch is a newly established entrepreneurial venture. They established in 2014 by inspiring Mumbai’s Dhabbawala’s business when their founders were in India. As name suggest Pack My lunch, it is a lunch providing service business. They provide lunch to office goers in around the city and their major clients are Bajra Technologies, The British School. canteens, CIWEC Hospital ,UNESCO, the European Union, and City Museum ,Armed Police Force during occasions and small wedding ceremony.

In Nepal or say in urban city of our country, there are huge numbers of office goers who wants to eat lunch that is home made. They want fresh homemade lunch in their office. Pack my lunch have mission to provide lunch to that targeted group who cannot bring lunch from home. But problem for this business is that, still Nepalese market is not mature for such kind of business. People feel cheated or feel expensive when they get lunch in their table at lunch time. It is very hard to manage whole logistics and supply chain for company. Company needs to plan raw materials, orders and menu for every day. Company cannot predict the orders from customers because everyday customers taste and preference will changes. Providing lunch in office in different location is obviously a hard job. There is a huge untapped market for this business and Companies like Pack My lunch should create culture about this business.

It’s been four years doing group projects and presentation but we did not do project in food industry. It’s a first experience to do presentation in food industry. We all are worry about project because this semester is pretty shorter semester. We have to do all projects, assignments and exam in very short time. Our group members come up with different ideas to do logistics project. Om's comes with ideas about dental clinic’s logistics concept, Newman comes with idea of printing press and Kripa comes with Pack my lunch concept. After listening Dilasha’s concept all group members agrees on it because it is a very interesting and new concept for our group. After that we start research about pack my lunch. We divide our group work. Some of us start visit their official facebook site for information, some of us went to their office for interview. We extract all required information such as how they manager orders, logistics, supply chain, raw materials. We also found their business strategy to retain customers, how they can supply foods in this critical situation when all renowned restaurants are shutting down their business. So this time our project is very interesting. We got cooperation from all group members. We divide roles and task for each group members so that we can have fast work done. This is our last project so we done very happily and we make enjoy from it.
